Newmarket Basement With Sauna

This basement in Newmaket, Ontario was one of the more unique ones we have done. The overall basement space wasn’t big, Around 550 square feet but the client wanted a lot of things in the basement. He wanted us to fit a large shower, Kind of a Japanese Bath style type shower were we have a small Japanese bath tub, and a separate shower head. The client also wanted 2 Niche windows for shampoos and for the niches to have under light LED lighting. Also in that same shower/ Japanese bath the client wanted a Linear drain against the wall, tiles half way up the wall, and accent wall with tiles and also for the upper half of the wall to be Cedar planks. The Bath room was very unique to say the least. Also in this basement the client wanted a separate Powder room with an LED mirror. We also built him a sauna with LED lighting under the benches. And to finish it off we added and small bar with under cabinet LED lighting. All of this was in one section of the basement, and in the other section we left it an open room for him so he can have a place to watch the projector he wanted to hang. The floors where vinyl flooring. we also redid the staircase with Oak wood and a custom stain and pickets. This basement was a very unique one and we very much enjoyed designing and building it for the client.
