This Newmarket kitchen renovation started with the demolition process. We demolished the entire first floor of this home. Floors, walls and parts of the ceilings. We also called in our Structural engineer to remove 2 load bearing walls on the main floor to open up the space so we can make a large, open and spacious kitchen. thank you to Sam from Open Concepts Engineering & Construction LTD for doing such a great job with the wall removals (www.ocecltd.ca) .
After the walls where removed we had to relocate some Hvac Ducts that where in the wall. We then had our plumber come in and relocate the plumbing for the kitchen sink, the dishwasher and the waterline for the fridge.
After all the plumbing was done we had our electrician come in and rerun some old electrical wires from the old kitchen to the new one. We then added new 4 inch LED pot lights and swapped some old pot lights with new ones.
For the next phase we had our tile installer install new tiles in the laundry room and the entry way to the house. As that ended we called in our drywall specialists and plaster guys come in, insulate the ceilings with sound proof insulation, drywall the ceilings and walls and then plastered everything and got it ready for prime and paint. After the messy process was finished we started the painting process. We painted the walls with Premium Benjamin Moore Paints, The client chose to go with a very white color, Chantilly Lace. Next step was having our floor specialists install a 7 inch wide engineered hard wood plank on the floors throughout the entire first floor. Then we installed a 5 inch colonial style baseboard and casings. For the final step we had our Kitchen team install the large, custom made kitchen. Our friends at Besta Kitchens ( https://bestakitchens.com ) Designed, provided and installed this kitchen. A white kitchen with a Dark blue island. A quartz counter top and backsplash. The clients where beyond happy with the overall project. A few other things done at this Newmarket Kitchen Renovation where Under cabinet lighting, Large gold handles and crown moldings.
