Project Description: East Gwillimbury Basement Renovation by Yorkland Homes

At Yorkland Homes, we pride ourselves on transforming spaces into functional and stylish areas. In this East Gwillimbury renovation, we worked closely with our client to create a beautiful basement retreat with a luxurious 3-piece bathroom and a prefab sauna.

Demolition and Prep Work

Our work began with the removal of the old drywall and studs. We carefully disposed of the materials into a bin delivered directly to the client’s driveway. This thorough cleanup ensured a fresh start for the renovation. Once the space was cleared, we set the foundation for a stunning new design that would blend functionality with comfort.

Adding a Spa-Like 3-Piece Bathroom

The main feature of this renovation was the custom 3-piece bathroom. We installed a large shower with custom glass doors and a built-in niche for convenience. The client chose beautiful 24×24 grey tiles from Tile Master that gave the space a sleek, modern look. We added pot lights to illuminate the space, as well as a 32-inch vanity and a toilet for added comfort.

Prefab Sauna Installation

To enhance the spa-like feel, we also incorporated a prefab sauna. This feature was carefully chosen to fit the layout and provide an ultimate relaxation space within the basement.

Custom Stairs and Railings

To finish off the transformation, we installed carpet on the stairs and added a custom oak handrail with elegant iron spindles. This touch not only provided safety but also added a touch of sophistication to the space.

Finishing Touches

The walls and ceiling were painted with premium Benjamin Moore Paint, giving the basement a clean, polished look. The client was extremely pleased with the final result, and we were thrilled to deliver such a high-quality space that meets both aesthetic and functional needs.
