Richmond Hill Basement Renovation with Office Area

 we recently completed a beautiful basement renovation in Richmond Hill, ON that perfectly blended modern touches with smart space planning. This project had a little bit of everything – from design upgrades to essential safety improvements.

We kicked things off by expanding one of the existing windows to meet egress requirements, allowing more natural light in and ensuring the space is up to code for safety. It really transformed the vibe of the basement from the get-go. Once the window work was done, we walked through the design plans one last time with the client to make sure every detail was right before moving forward with framing.

With framing complete, we moved on to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC rough-ins. We installed 4-inch LED pot lights throughout the basement, making the space bright and welcoming, without being harsh. The lighting made a huge difference – especially once the drywall went up. We then levelled parts of the basement that had big dips in the floor. This way when the floors go down we dont have too much jumping in the floors.

One of the standout features of this basement is the 3-piece bathroom, featuring 24×24 tiles from Tile Master, a corner shower with custom glass, and stylish, modern finishes. It’s functional, clean and looks amazing.

We also installed R insulated Dricore subfloors for warmth and durability, and finished them off with a beautiful luxury laminate flooring that flows seamlessly throughout the space.

The layout included a cozy living room, laundry room, a storage area, and a small office nook. The office area was elevated with a custom stone wall-to-wall countertop, giving the homeowner a functional and stylish workspace that ties in beautifully with the rest of the basement’s modern design.

This Richmond Hill basement now offers the homeowners a fully finished and comfortable space to enjoy, relax or work in. The final results really speak for themselves.
